Alice Night One - Home Sleep Test Device

Today we are going to be talking about the Alice Night One, another Home Sleep Test that we carry!

So this is just a small device that will rest on your sternum. You also have this belt that holds it in place; the belt measures the effort you are putting into your breathing. Then, there is the SP02 probe that will be placed on the index finger. This will track the SP02 levels throughout the night.

And finally, there is the nasal cannula! There is nothing coming out of the cannula, it’s just simply measuring breathing and snoring.

Now, we are going to show you how to put the device on!

First, you’ll want to open up the case and take everything out of the box.

You’ll notice 2 batteries. Make sure to put the batteries in before starting this application.

You are going to want to adjust the belt so it fits properly around your sternum. There is an adjuster right on the belt, you’ll just flip this piece open and adjust to your preference. Next you are going to take one end of the chest belt and click it on one end of the Alice Device, just like a seatbelt.

After that, you are going to wrap the rest of the chest belt to yourself, so it can click on to the other end of this device. Once you successfully connect both ends of the chest belt to your home sleep study, you’ll notice a green light. This is how you know the device is on.

Then, you’ll want to take open the nasal cannula packaging, because we use sterilized and fresh one’s every time. Connect the nasal cannula to the top of the Alice Night One device in a twisting motion. You can apply medical tape to keep the nasal cannula in place while performing your home sleep test, if you feel comfortable doing so. This step is not necessary but recommended.

You’ll notice that there is an SP02 monitor attached to the device. Simply insert your index finger to the probe. Finally, take your nasal cannula and insert it into your nose and loop it around your ears.

After you successfully attach everything, you’ll notice 3 green lights. This means that your nasal cannula, the chest belt and the SP02 monitor have been properly attached. After about a couple minutes, all of the lights will turn off!

If you notice one of the light’s flashing yellow, that means something needs to be adjusted. Adjust accordingly. For example, if the middle light is blinking, you will adjust the device. You can adjust the device by moving it back and forth.

Please do not press this button in the middle to ensure that there is enough good test data.

Now you are ready to go to sleep! Please make sure to wear the device all night. In the morning, detach the chest belt, throw the nasal cannula away, and put everything else back in the box!

Your Sleep Specialist should have already designated a time for you to either drop the device off at our clinic, or come pick it up from your home.

If you are mailing your device to our office, you can use the mail back label included in the package.

If you have more questions regarding this, please reach out to one of our offices.
