The NightOwl - Home Sleep Testing Device
Today we are going to be talking about NightOwl! The NightOwl is the future of Sleep Apnea Testing. This little device can track your AHI, REM cycles, SP02 levels, and a person’s heart rate! This is also the first diagnostic device that is capable of recording up to 7 nights of sleep.
The NightOwl creates a new beginning in Sleep Apnea!
The NightOwl is the world's smallest, most convenient, and accurate home sleep apnea test.
“More than 5% of the general population suffers from a moderate to severe form of sleep apnea that remains undiagnosed. These people carry the heavy burden of sleep apnea every night and every day of their lives and face an increased healthcare cost (every) year. Very effective treatment options exist, but the traditional diagnostic infrastructure is neither affordable nor scalable enough to diagnose this vast number of unidentified sufferers.”
This device is super simple to set up!
Check out our NightOwl tutorial video!
The first step is to grab your smartphone. If you have an iPhone, go to the apple store, and if you have an android, go to the play store. Next, search for the NightOwl Companion app. And press the install button. Once the app successfully downloads, open up the app, and click on “I have an activation code.”
After that, scan the QR code that NightOwl sent you via email or that we have provided to you. You can also type in the code manually if you wish. Make sure to turn Bluetooth on so the NightOwl can connect properly to your smartphone.
The in-app instructions will guide the patient through the testing protocol. If a test fails, we tell the patient how to do better and extend the test automatically.
Press and hold the button on the NightOwl device, once the red light starts flashing, then click start connecting on your smartphone. Once it is connected, go ahead and press next.
Once you have finished putting the device on, click start recording on the app! Then you are ready for a good night’s rest! In the morning, press on wake up.
After that you have the option to answer some additional questions about your sleep. Then you can submit those answers to us.
Congratulations! You have completed your home sleep study!
